Mac Mini Question

Hi all,

I know some people on this forum use a Mac Mini and a portable monitor for their Gig Performer setup which I am considering switching over to. I currently use a Windows PC with GP5 and I use a 2nd hard drive as my samples drive. Is second hard drive for plugin samples common practice for newer Macs or are these newer Macs powerful enough where it really isn’t necessary anymore?

Thanks in advance for any advice or input.

Mike

That’s not a question of power - just a question of capacity - if you get a MacMini with a large SSD, then you should be good to go.

Personally I would avoid using an external drive only because that’s a potential point of failure (an extra device, an extra cable that could break or fall out, etc)
