Lemur and Gp

Now own Gp and lemur, how do you connect them?, and install the lemur template. The template is a zip, so I’m gathering pc?, it’s not as simple as tr Omni that’s for sure. The Osc targets on lemur settings have port 0, host 0.0.0.0.

As as been mentioned before, tr omni is a specific app to be used with a specific product. Lemur is an environment for which touch surfaces can be created to work with any application that supports OSC and MIDI control. From the opposite perspective, while Omnisphere only explicitly supports Tr Omni, Gig Performer can work with any control surface that supports OSC.

We have provided starting points for Lemur and for TouchOSC. There are dozens of other applications that support building touch surfaces.

The templates on our website are intended to be examples for what can be done but you’re free to create your own control surface to suit your own needs.

The user guide (https://www.gigperformer.com/downloads/docs/GigPerformerUserGuide2_4.pdf) explains how to connect remote surfaces (generally) to Gig Performer, starting on page 78.

The blog article that references that Lemur template (zip files are not specific to PCs, they are fully supported on Mac as well) includes a video demonstrating how to use that particular template.

If you have specific programming questions about Lemur or its editor, then you should reach out to Liine (https://liine.net/en/products/lemur/) for help. Same for other control surfaces.

Bear with me, I’m showing a zip file on iPad, gotta get the unzip app

You need to look at Lemur tutorials. That zip file is intended to be loaded into the Lemur editor on your Mac or PC from where you can then sync it with Lemur on your iPad.

Lemur has a documentation wiki (https://liine.net/wiki/lemur/basic_concepts) and there are probably thousands of youtube tutorials.

Right, I saw an editor , wish I could just pc it, Mac I’m not, the ipad needs the editor I’m guessing to run the template, not the pc with Gp on it?

I don’t know what you’re saying here. The Lemur editor is available for both Mac and PC

O cool then I can run it all on pc instead of iPad

The editor is used to edit a Lemur template. You then sync the file with your iPad and then your iPad works directly with Gig Performer over your network.

Please review the Lemur docs for more information.

i know I’m rushing , just want to get the template into lemur…got it, double clicked the template it opened , just not synced, this is going to be another month of study , not a plug and play thing at all and on a pc one needs LoopMidi, daemon comm software , etc etc etc…, Lotta shite , wish an easier way was possible

If you need to control an application that only works with MIDI then you need that stuff. But Gig Performer has full support for OSC so you shouldn’t need any of those things, just a wireless or hardware connection from your iPad to your computer.

so is the key to enable a widget in Osc and it maps to the template ?, for example adjust volume sliders in omnisphere , even throw me simple example 1 volume slider/widget just to get sync

You create a widget in Gig Performer and associate it with the volume parameter in Omnisphere (NB, you should really be using our gain controls or multi-channel mixer plugins to control the volume of any plugins)

Then you associate that widget with an OSC address.

We have already noted above that these procedures are clearly documented in our user manual and demonstrated in the video on the Lemur blog page. Please look at those resources, they’ll save you a lot of time.

You really need to read Lemur documentation and learn the basics. GP supports OSC and can work with Lemur or TouchOSC or any other OSC application out there.

We provided some templates and explanations which should speed things up, we also have a handy reference document listing all supported OSC commands that you can send to GP : https://www.gigperformer.com/downloads/OSCMessages.pdf

found an Omnisphere template , General , not livemode https://liine.net/en/community/user-library/view/728/
