The crash indicates some trouble with Loopback Audio and Synthmaster.
Are you using virtual Audio?
Only a few, I try to replace them all with Vst (native Apple Silicon).
But you are right, I can reproduce the crash by using SynthmasterOne Vst after replacing the SynthmasterOne AU.

Yes I use Virtual Audio, because I have a lot of audio interfaces, which are all connected with loopback. At home I have a RME Babyface, a Focusrite Scarlett and in some configurations (for example in the rehearsal room and live) I use my Korg Kronos as Audio Interface and a Radial Key Largo.
Are you using multiple Audio Interfaces at the same time?
Do you send some sounds to one interface and others to the other interface?
At home I use my MacbookPro with the Focusride Scarlett.
In the rehearsal room I use the Korg Kronos as “Audio In” Audiointerface and the Key Largo as “Audio Out”. When I connect all in Loopback, I have one setting, that works.
I now try to find out what works. I am at Nr. 16 from 49 Rackspaces. So far Opsix crashes, SynthmasterOne crashes after an update and some AUs produce strange GUIs and loose their settings.
And do you face the same crashes when you do not use loopback?
Did you try with aggregate device?
With my old MacBook (late 2013) I never had any crashes, whether I use loopback or whatever. I am a live long Windows Power user, so “aggregate device” or “blackhole” I never understood. I had to change the audio settings in GigPerformer again and again and again. So I bought loopback. Loopback is so easy, that even I could understand. And it works.
The problem is the new MacBook M1. In my opinion AUs aren’t stable and some VST’s aren’t stable under Apple M1 Monterey. For example AX 73 from Martinic. One week I was in contact with their support until it works. Korg Opsix native is new and SynthMasterOne I have updated yesterday. After update it crashes…
I really don’t think, that loopback is the problem. Do you think so?
I face the same situation at you.
In my bedroom I am using the inbuilt sound card of my MAC
Live and for rehearsals I am using RME UFX II
When playing with RME I am using 4 physical outputs.
My in built sound card only has 2
But that is no problem as I am asked to use virtual channels and if all should be routed to the physical available.
So no need for Loopback.
But I have to say that I am only using outputs and no inputs.
But with inputs it should also work this way.
As I said with my old MacBook I had no problems. If I had two RME Babyfaces I would try it your way. But it will take month to get one, when you will buy one.
Until then I try to find out “bulletproofed” Vsts and use these in my rackspaces.
No matter what I do, when I load my Gig file, wavestate plugin calls up the first factory preset. I have saved a gp preset, saved a new setlist in it, used a blocker to block program changes, I am out of things to try here
Does it really load the 1st preset or is it only shown but it sounds like you saved the gig file?
It loads the factory preset. I’ve tried a lot. But it won’t let you delete factory presets. Tried some scripts to force it too but read a lot of forums saying it can be hopeless. Common problem. I love the sound of this thing but likely will try a different Vst maybe.
Can you save a GP preset and load it again?
Have you reported it to Korg?
No, it still loads the first factory patch.

You load a different preset in the wave state plugin and save this as a gp preset.
Then you reload the wavestate plugin and load the previous saved gp preset and again it is a different one?
Yes. I teid several things as well. GP Use Presets, creating a new setlist, moving my preset to slot A1, creating filters and scriptlets to be sue a program change message isn’t being sent to it. Some of the suggestions came from various keyboard forums and groups. I’ve sent a message to Korg, we shalll see. I really just need one decent sound, I’m going to see about trying Surge XT
