It seems that at random we have Kontakt occasionally opening at max’d out / full volume (+12), this when changing rack-spaces or re-starting GP
We have a midi filter removing all automation aside from midi note on/off and yet still this happens.
Have found plenty about Kontakt but I don’t think this issue specifically.

Why are you using MIDI for automation?
sorry- not automating at all, just sending note on/note off and thought something else might have been bumping it up to full… going to try this;
“In the Controller tab, disable the option Accept Standard Controllers for Volume and Pan .”
As well as suggestion above - will update shortly
Actually, I would disable those in the MIDI In block
