Knob resolution- short movement- big move

Hi friends,

I would like the one and only know of my studiologic (which sends CC7) to
control something specific in one of my vst’s.
I map it to a widget knob and the widget is mapped to the function in the vst. All works, but I need to turn the hardware knob a long way to move the widget from 0-127. I found scripts to change this behaviour on Xtouch mini, but not generally for a knob.
Is something like this existing? eg. I move the hardware 0-40 and the widget turns 0-127?

You could use a widget curve,
so from x=0 to 40 => y goes from 0 to 100
