GP5 crash while editing global panel

I just had GP5 crash while I was editing the a panel layout in the global rackspace. I’ve attached the crash report here to see if any of those here that are cleverer than I am can decipher it. The zip file also includes the gig file I was working on at the time of the crash, in case that’s important.

Can you reproduce that always?
What did you edit?

Can’t seem to reproduce it again. I was making my global panel layout look nicer… adding some Shape widgets, setting colours/transparency etc. I think that at the moment of the crash I had just clicked “Send to back” on one of those Shape widgets.

If you’re able to reproduce this at some point, please let us know - I looked at relevant code but nothing stuck out so we’ll need a reproducible example to be able to fix it.

Thanks for responding. I have more rackspaces and panels to build for an upcoming gig, so I’ll keep an eye open.

Cannot reproduce with your supplied gig file, tried various things:

  • deleting a widget while setting the transparency
  • duplicating all widgets on a panel, sending them all all to back, front, back, …
  • unlocking labels, setting different colors, alpha, adding to groups, sending groups to the front, to the back,
  • duplicating panels
  • switching to different views while changing alpha

All seems to be good.

Yep… I’ve built another rackspace and panel today with no issue. I have 21 more songs to prepare… I’ll let you know of any issues, or if I get to the end without further errors
