Hey there!
I’m using Gig Performer on a windows PC and everything works fine.
Now I tried using a USB/Midi footswitch (Disaster Area Midi Baby 3) for my song part switches, and it sees the Midi input, so I can enable the Midi Input Port (“Disaster G3 MIDI”), but GP doesn’t receive any Midi information / signal. My PC definetely receives it (I tried a seperate Midi Monitor), but GP doesn’t. I also tried the internal MIDI Monitor of GP to rule out that it’s a problem of internal wiring or sth else.
The I tried the same thing with my MAudio Keystation. There’s the same problem: It sees the Midi input port, I enable it, but GP doesn’t see midi-information coming in.
Do you have any ideas??
Are those devices being used by another application?

can you confirm you see your midi footswitch under Options > Midi ports?
oh my bad - you said you can see it and activate it there.
sounds like a glitch…
not sure - but try restarting the pc and see if that solves it.
Is it connected to a usb hub? maybe try moving it to another usb port.
Windows can sometimes be glitchy like that.
You can only open a given MIDI port on one device in Windows. Please make sure none of your other applications are using the MIDI Port. The first application that opens the port, wins and the other applications will not be able to read or write to that device.
