GP 5 closing if audio setup or new gig file is asked

Hi everyone!

I am new with GP and I have a problem..when I want to open a new file the GP is closing…is doing the same when I would like to change the audio setup from an USB card to my laptop speakers…Any help is apreciated . Thank you!

Cheers!

What do you do exactly?
I am using gig performer since the beginning and never faced that issue?
What version are you using?

Did you recently close out GP before trying to open a Gig file?

If you want to change the audio set up, I would do that with an empty gig file. (Maybe there are other ways, but I would not try to do it while a large gig file is open).

Hi! Nothing special, just making some rackspaces for my needs and I use for audio a radial KL8 usb thing. In the beginning, there was not a problem if I finished my programing on PG and forgot to change the audio setup , but after a while PG did not opened because did not find the Radial USB soundcard, giving me this message that audio interface not found with quit or continue option, and if I continued did not started up…after this happened I have changed audio interface before quiting GP , but today when I tried to change the audio interface is shutt down and I have to reopen it…after this I tried to open a new gig file but did the same thing, GP stoped…probably I am doing something wrong, but don’t know what…I only made a few rackspaces, nothing special

What version of GP you using?

GP 5, the newest. I bought it a few weeks back

Can you post some screenshots of the messages you get when the soundboard is missing?

this I got just now

I tried to change the samplerate to 320 and GP shut down

Ok, do you get a report when you press the button report?
What is your operating system?

I don’t know. It wants to send a report to apple not to GP

In the console app you should be able to look for a crash report.

where?

This sounds like a plugin crash. We do need to see the crash report to see exactly what is going on.

If you start GP while holding the SHIFT key down and uncheck the “load last gig” from the startup options, does it still crash? If not, when you then load in your gig file, does it crash?

Start the application called console and search for a crash report

Hi!
I found the report , here is one of them in the attached screenshot

OK, now please upload that complete report.

please explain how to do it…thank you!

Right click on the entry and locate in Finder.
Then upload this file

Hi!
I tried to upload but got the message that the file is not authorised for upload…and I still got crashes almost every day
