Hello - looking for some help with what I think is a simple issue. I searched the forums and couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for so hoping this post will generate an answer. Here’s the context:
- Hardware: Novation Keylab controller, MacBook Air, Yamaha MODX8, Scarlett 2i2 Interface
- Software: Bandhelper, Gig Performer
Here’s what I want to do:
- Get Gig Performer to change sounds on the sound I select on the MODX8 on a “per song basis” via MIDI.
Here’s what I can’t figure out how to do: When I select a song in Bandhelper, say “Rock With You”, I want it to send a MIDI signal to GigPerformer to choose that particular song in Gig Performer. I’ve got the song change from Bandhelper to Gig Performer working fine (select song, song changes to selected song in Gig Performer). Here’s what I can’t figure out:
- In the wiring diagram, how do I add the MODX and have the MODX change to the correct patch when the song “Rock With You” is selected.
I’m sure this is something simple and I’m just not describing it right when I search the forums but for whatever reason, I can’t find instructions on how to do what I want.
