My application is not responding when I go to load my gig file - what should I upload here for a look see - I have practice tonight and I cant set up
In my experience, that may be because it could not find a file. Can you see the file it stopped on?
Is it possible, a sample or something was not loaded?
Think, what change has been made on the system?
Do you have your samples on an external drive? Is the cable inserted firmly (both ends). (I have done this).
Start GP whole holding the Shift key down and disable loading of the gig file. Does GP load normally?
When did you use GP last? Did you change anything since that last time?
UPDATE: I simply rebooted the computer and it loaded - not sure what I had running to cause it issues.
seems fine now - do we have an updated checklist on Mac proofing the system with one of the more recent OS? maybe its time to revisit the set up
Can you answer the questions I asked earlier? Something has to have changed.
it loaded normally without loading the gig file - I also was able to load a basic gig file.
used it a week ago - havent changed anything
Are you putting your system in ‘sleep mode’ instead of shutting it down? Not all drivers and/or devices respond well when they are awakened (just like me, but that has nothing to do with this 
). I would avoid using sleep mode.
Maybe the dreaded loose usb connection….
That may have been the issue I left it on all night
