I still have a 2011 MacBook Pro that I purchased with a SSD. It’s been used every day.

Yes I hope so. Someone wrote that we’re the reason to buy bigger SSDs as the system spreads the writing evenly over the SSD so it gets used in a balanced way.
As said, no sample libraries or anything. For me it’s only processing power and speed and RAM I need because I got quite a few power hungry plugins going.
My MacBookPro 2017 15” with 16GB RAM is just about sufficient.
