CPU performance on multimode Instruments

Hello all,

although it sounds odd, in certain DAWs (I know for sure on Cubase) you will have a better CPU Performance when using 5 seperate instances of one VSTi using one Sound each, instead of using only one instance with 5 Sounds on different Midi-Channels in Multimode.
If I remember correctly it has to do with latency correction and also with balancing load to different CPU cores.

Does anyone know how this is in GP3?
Any advantages or disadvantages using one of these ways?

I am using Multimode with Omnisphere and Kontakt and did not detect any CPU issues.
