Control master volume with a bluetooth pedal

I have a spare bluetooth pedal which I’d like to use to move a master volume slider in GP up and down using two of the buttons. I paired the pedal to my PC and tried midi learn whilst pressing the BT pedal buttons. There was no response. Is there a way I can do this please?

Does the midi monitor window show any incoming data?

No, none at all. Is there an intermediate device I need?

Does it work with other software?

Well, it does make Windows volume go up and down.

What windows version are you using?
Is this bluetooth midi device in windows active?

Windows 10. Not sure what you mean when you ask is it active. Windows has connected to it as it is changing Windows own volume. I’m trying to connect it to GigPerformer.

Can you see this bluetooth midi device as a Midi In Plugin in GigPerformer?

No it doesn’t show. It is a BT device but doesn’t show as a BT midi device.

So GigPerformer has no chance to use that.
What Windows Version are you using?

Win 10. Latest updates.

Can you see this bluetooth device in windows as a normal midi device?
Do you use any DAW?
Does this DAW (Cubase etc.) see your device as a normal Midi Device?

No I don’t use a daw, just GP. Looking at Device Manager, I see several software midi devices. And the BT pedal is shown in BT devices. But there is nothing labelled BTmidi that I can see.

Can you post a screenshot?

Of what in particular?

What windows sees in the device Manager
And what GigPerformer sees as Midi In Plugins

Found this in a forum entry:

Wow. So it’s at the doorstep. Screen shots attached

Does it work now?

What do you mean does it work now? I haven’t done anything new. Did you ask me to do something new?
