Can't seem to make Rig Manager work

Hi, I have separate MIDI controllers and pedals for separate practice spaces (rehearsals, home, live…) and I have set them up accordingly in Rig Manager. However, I suppose I missed something, but while the Rig Manager correctly lists all inputs per each workspace, I still have to reassign the controllers in the MIDI input blocks. I have aliases for “61key” and “88key”, which can be a Korg Keystage and an Arturia Keylab, or a Komplete Kontrol and a Numa Compact. The Rig Manager switches between these setups normally (shows the inputs in green and connected). However, every time I change them I have to open a song (any song) and reassign the “61key” and “88key” MIDI input blocks from the previously used boards, to the currently used boards. This also goes for any connected pedals, so if I have an Exp pedal attached to the Korg, I will have to reassign it to the Kontrol in the widget. It’s not hard work, but I wonder, shouldn’t the Rig Manager autoassign the inputs? Or what am I missing?
Thanks for your help.

Could you perhaps post a screenshot of your Rig Manager window?

If you change your physical controllers, then you have to into the rig manager and remap the new controller to the appropriate alias, which is a trivial and very quick process. Then all your MIDI In blocks will work.

Can’t you just used Omni Midi in blocks? That’s what I do and I dont have this issue.
Im sure im doing something not ‘the norm’ but that works 100% for me.
I dont use two controllers at once, just one for rehearsal and one at home/gigs

That is only feasible if you use a single controller (as you do)

If you have more than one controller and each needs to control different items, then you must use the Rig Manager if there is the possibility that your controllers will change - that’s one of the main reasons for the Rig Manager.

yeah, I missed the bit where he stated he is using dual keyboard setups.
