Hello,
Over the last few months I have been honing in on developing my Logic Pro production template, and haven’t spent much time in gig performer until a gig opportunity came up and I fired it up again. In doing so I mapped a lot of the same shortcuts i use in GP to keyboard assignments in Logic Pro. I didn’t anticipate any issues as I never open both simultaneously.
The issue I’m now running into is where, when i have GP open and I hit one of my keyboard shortcuts (instrument bypass, for example, which is assigned to a drum pad on my arturia 88), pressing it now opens Logic Pro and triggers the key command it’s assigned to in logic (which is opening the first plugin in the channel strip, in this example).
In short, gig performer is still playable but any time one of these shared keyboard shortcuts are pressed while i have GP open, it opens the Logic application while I’m playing which i don’t want.
Without having to re assign all my shortcuts since i have a ton of assignments in both apps, is there any way to block Logic key commands while I’m playing in GP, so shared shortcuts don’t trigger logic to open while I’m playing?
I could keep playing with Logic open but it does take a hit on my processing power which is another reason I’m trying to figure this out.
Thanks for any tips here.
