I have an Audient ID4 interface that has a handy rotary knob that can be used to send a Mouse Scroll command to the host PC. Has anyone been able to manage getting that knob assigned to a widget? I would love to be able to use it as my expression knob when I am standing and don’t want to use my pedal. I can click my expression widget with my mouse and it does operate it as if I was using the scroll wheel but that is not going to work in a live setting.
If you cannot set it to send MIDI, then you need a third-party tool to change mouse scroll events to MIDI.
Since you’re on a PC, with this tool you can translate mouse scroll to SysEx: MIDI Buddy
Afterward, a gig script is needed to convert SysEx to CC.
