Anyone tried GP with Mac OS 27 Golden Gate?

I am curious if Gig Performer is working well on Mac OS 27? I’m usually content to wait before upgrading, but OS 27 finally allows iPads in a sidecar configuration the ability to use the touch screen to control the Mac. This would be a very helpful improvement for my live configuration.

Anyone out there tested any of this?

Yam Display basically does that. It cost about six dollars. Kinda risky to upgrade to Golden Gate OS especially if you have a lot of plugins. If the sidecar feature in the new OS works better than Yam Display then I can see why you’re tempted. The thing is Gig Performer may actually work with the new OS but your plugins may not be

Thank you. Yes, I am aware of all of those issues. Still, anyone have an answer?

We have not officially confirmed GP on macOS 27 at this time.

However, I have installed it on my studio Mac which is running MacOS27 and GP 5.3.3 does seem to be working properly. I am testing it with the Arturia Mini V4 and Pianoteq 9 (VST3 version) as I write this.

All the GP features seem to work, including GP Script (however, I have not tested OSC yet)

That said, there is no way for us to know whether all plugins will all work properly with MacOS 27

Edit: AI says

You should wait to update to macOS 27 Golden Gate if you rely on critical professional audio software, hardware interfaces, or institutional IT support, though it is a solid performance upgrade for general users.

Thank you David!

My experience from major macOS updates: never ever .0, wait at least for .1 - better .2 - so mainly around years end :slightly_smiling_face:

27 works neg fine for me. Ive had 2 rehearsals with it on my MacBook Air M5. Not tried sidecar yet.
